Light show or dimmed lights? Every event is different. Some venues have the appropriate height to handle great light displays with video projection
and some don't. Foggers are cool unless the hotel's banquett hall have sensitive fire alarms. Not good when
the hotel gets evacuated. I say order the light show and make bright, it always adds a wow element to the party. Careful with
the fogger and bubbles. ..

Some of today's music contains questionable lyrics, should I trust the DJ to help select the music? If he's a professional and has the experience, YES~~.
If not, then count on him dancing by himself while guests leave your party. All good DJ's never play
hard core rap music at a wedding or special function. Its common sense. But let me say this- not all rap /hip hop contain
lyrics that will shock you. Some of it can be played and if edited can be great party jams for appropriate crowds. However,
it requires your attention so if you don't want any slip ups make sure you put in your contract "Songs not
to be played" .

Should I ask for a contract from the DJ? Absolutely!!!!!! Unless you don't care if they show
up or play music of their choice. Having an agreement secures their service and outlines your expectations and special
announcements. Time slots, ect. Remember if you pay the DJ, you run the show. So make sure you have it done
in writing.

Should I hire a professional or Louie's cousin? If you want your event to be a success you should always consider a few things before trusting the wedding or
party to DJ Godilla from Choachila. No offense Choacillians's. Really, if he has a stage name then maybe he's
focussed more on his stardum than your party. A professional wants to be known by the smiles and memories he
leaves with his guests rather than his stage name and fancy tee shirt.
Second, consider the quote you
get from the DJ. How much is this guy going to charge and what will you get for that price. This should be a good
indication of the level of experience he bring's to your celebration.
Remember, -- "YOU
GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR"!!!
Be prepared to shop around. The going rate for a professional DJ service can run
you from $900-$2000, depending on if you want all the video screens and laser light show.
